No matter whether a merchant has one or multiple stores, all stores share the same Softpay app (merchant) credentials for logging in to Softpay.
- App credentials are tied to the merchant, not to stores.
- Once an app is set up (logged in), the credentials are no longer used.
- A password reset does not affect any previously set up apps, only future logins.
- It is not possible to create separate logins for stores under the same merchant.
Softpay Hierarchy (Merchant → Store → Terminal)
Softpay operates with a three-layer hierarchy: Merchant-Store-Terminal, as shown in the figure below.
- Merchant = the main entity
- Store = each distinct sales location
- Terminal = individual Softpay app installations
