DCC - Dynamic Currency Conversion - enables a cardholder to pay using the currency of the card. E.g. an American visiting Copenhagen Denmark, can pay in US Dollar and thus a more familiar value / amount.
DCC is enabled by Softpay on all Nets merchants by default, without additional onboarding steps required.
When is DCC applied

For compliance reasons, a POS must explicitly request DCC as the POS receipt is legally required to include surcharge information.
App setting
DCC will automatically be enabled when the feature is available on the Softpay merchant. By going to the settings menu in Softpay app, the toggle "Currency conversion" allows you to control it at app level.
Testing DCC
To test DCC please verify that you have the option in settings and it is active, then test with a card issued for a currency (e.g SEK) that does not match the currency of the active store (e.g. DKK).
You can see the currency of the active store by going to "Settings" - "App Info" or simply by going to the payment or refund screen.
The currency of the card should be known by the cardholder and is typically determined by the country for which it was issued.
