When I try to start a transaction, I get the message: "Please update device".
For the Softpay app to function as a terminal, the security patch must no be older than 12 months.
Depending on the specific device the wording and placement may differ slightly, but generally you can install the latest available Android security update for your device by navigating to:
- “Settings” (On most newer Android devices, settings can be accessed by swiping down on the home screen and tapping the cog icon)
- “Software update”
- “Check for updates”
Or by simply going to "Settings" and searching for "update".
